HOOPS PROJECT

OUR MISSION

To make elite basketball development accessible to every athlete, regardless of location, resources, or experience.

We believe every player deserves access to structured coaching, proven development, and a clear path toward improvement. Hoops Project exists to deliver the same methodology that has developed thousands of athletes in the gym—now available anywhere in the world.

MORE THAN A TRAINING PLATFORM

Hoops Project combines elite coaching, structured development, and modern technology to make basketball training accessible to every athlete.

PROVEN METHODOLOGY

Built upon nearly 30 years of player development through Virginia Basketball Academy, every workout follows a structured system refined through thousands of athletes—not random drills.

COMPLETE DEVELOPMENT

Whether training in person or online, athletes develop every area of their game through purposeful progression, detailed instruction, and consistent repetition.

ACCESSIBLE TRAINING

Elite basketball development shouldn't depend on where you live. Hoops Project provides athletes around the world with the same proven coaching through digital programs while continuing to offer private and small-group instruction.

DON'T
KNOCK
REPETITION.

Repetition isn't boring—it's where mastery is built. Hoops Project embraces purposeful repetition, helping athletes develop confidence, consistency, and game-ready skills that last.

2,500+ ATHLETES DEVELOPED. 25+ YEARS OF PROVEN RESULTS. DIVISION I ROOTS.

Hoops Project is built upon the player development methodology established by Virginia Basketball Academy (VABA)—an organization that has spent more than 25 years developing youth basketball players through camps, leagues, travel teams, clinics, and year-round instruction. Over that time, VABA has helped shape the development of more than 2,500 athletes while becoming one of Central Virginia's most respected basketball organizations.

The success of that system extends far beyond the local level. VABA alumni have gone on to compete at every level of collegiate basketball, including numerous NCAA Division I programs such as Virginia, Georgetown, James Madison, Wake Forest, Clemson, Davidson, and many others, while former players have also competed professionally around the world. Just as importantly, VABA has produced coaches who now lead programs at the collegiate, high school, and youth levels across the country.

Hoops Project was created to bring that same proven development system beyond the walls of the gym. Every workout, progression, and teaching philosophy is rooted in decades of real coaching experience, making the same structured player development accessible through digital training while continuing to provide elite one-on-one and small-group instruction.

TRAIN ANYWHERE. DEVELOP EVERYWHERE.

For decades, this proven player development system was available only to athletes who could train in person. Players outside the region simply didn't have access to the same structured coaching, progression, and curriculum that had helped thousands of athletes improve through Virginia Basketball Academy. Hoops Project was created to remove those geographical barriers, bringing the same proven methodology to players anywhere in the world through structured digital training.

Today, athletes can follow that curriculum from anywhere while receiving the same purposeful progression that has been refined through decades of coaching experience. Whether training online through Hoops Project Academy or Academy+, or working directly with a coach through private lessons and small-group instruction, every athlete develops through the same philosophy: structured training, consistent repetition, and long-term player development.
